3 Versatile Ways to Cook and Bake with Vanilla Protein

Vanilla is a neutral flavour, so it does not flavour whatever you add it to. That is the reason it turns up in cooking and baking more often than the stronger flavours in the range.

1. Protein Pancakes

Add a scoop of Biotic’s Gain Vanilla Whey Protein Isolate to your pancake batter before cooking. One serving of the powder contains 25g of protein.

2. Protein Chia Pudding

Mix into chia seeds and milk overnight for a creamy pudding made with whey isolate.

3. Fruit Smoothie Base

Use as a neutral base for any fruit smoothie combination without clashing flavours.

The Wording We Are Allowed to Use

Protein has four authorised health claims on the Great Britain register, and that wording is the limit of what may be said: protein “contributes to a growth in muscle mass”, protein “contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass”, protein “contributes to the maintenance of normal bones” and protein “is needed for normal growth and development of bone in children”. The claims belong to protein as a nutrient in any food that is a source of protein, and a whey isolate is one of those foods. Whey has no authorised claim of its own, so nothing here is claimed for whey specifically.
