What we collect and why

Visiting our website

Our website is hosted by WordPress.com (Automattic Inc.). When you visit, standard technical information is processed such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed and referring site. We use this to keep the site secure, understand how it is used and improve it. We use website analytics provided by WordPress.com and Metricool. Where these tools use cookies, you can control them through your browser settings.

Links to Amazon

Our products are sold on Amazon. Links on this site and in our social media posts take you to the Amazon store for your region. Some links use geo-routing (LinkTwin) and Amazon Attribution tracking so we can see which channels send visitors to our store. This records the country the click came from and the link that was clicked; it does not identify you personally to us. Any purchase you make is processed by Amazon under Amazon’s own privacy notice, and we do not receive your payment details.

Contacting us

If you email or call us, we keep your name, contact details and the content of your message so that we can reply and keep a record of our correspondence. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where relevant, on the need to perform a contract with you.

Social media

We run pages and accounts on platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky and LinkedIn, and we schedule and measure our posts through Metricool. If you interact with us there, we see the information the platform makes available (such as your public profile name and your comments or messages). Each platform processes your data under its own privacy policy.

Amazon advertising and reporting

We use Amazon Ads services, including the Amazon Ads API and Login with Amazon, to manage and report on advertising for our own products. The data we access through these services is aggregated advertising performance data for our own account (such as impressions, clicks, spend and sales). We do not receive personal data about individual Amazon customers through these services, and we do not sell or share this data with third parties.

Creators and partners

If you work with us as a content creator, reviewer or supplier, we keep your contact details, our correspondence and any delivery address you give us so that we can send products and manage our relationship. We rely on our legitimate interests and, where relevant, on performing an agreement with you.

Who we share data with

We only share personal data with service providers that help us run the business, and only for the purposes above: WordPress.com (website hosting), Google Workspace (email and documents), Metricool (social media scheduling and analytics), LinkTwin (link routing), Amazon (storefronts and advertising) and delivery carriers where we send products. Some of these providers are based outside the UK; where that is the case, transfers are covered by the UK’s adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / standard contractual clauses. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep data

Correspondence is kept for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, normally no more than three years. Records we must keep by law (for example, for tax purposes) are kept for the period required. Analytics data is held in aggregated form.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask us to delete data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for data you provided to be transferred to another provider. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@bioticsgain.com. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Children

Our products and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
